About Samuel J
Already with a strong reputation as one of the most talented up and coming Musicians/Vocalists in the UK, Samuel J and his project never stops evolving.
A solo artist, he plays keys, guitar, drums and also produces his own records, writing much of the material with his sister Jodie Tellam - a renowned vocalist.
Their earthy music has traveled the world with them; branching out through word of mouth and the potency of their performances.
Samuel is now based in Brighton where his music is flourishing. This year and last year he shared his unique musical experience at festivals and venues around the UK including - Secret Garden, The Green Man, Shambhala, Ocean Fest, Masked Ball and The Big Chill. He was also invited to perform alongside some of the best up and coming acts in the UK by the Chai Wallahs events stage this year.
He currently has two monthly residencies with a strong following at The Bees Mouth & The Basement in Brighton and samuel is looking to expand his music here and London where he also has a monthly residency with Making Bread.
Having spent many years in Brazil producing, performing and writing music, Samuel continues to work alongside many of the leading names in Brazilian Urban music, including Leila Morena, Dj King, Dj Cia, Ricky Dub, Jason Salles & Slim Rimografia.
One of the highlights of his career came this year in the form of a personal invitation from Marcelo D2 (a living Brazilian legend and South Americas hip hop front man) to perform on the Marcelo D2 tour on home soil this autumn at The Coronet London and Concorde 2 Brighton.
Samuel mostly performs solo with a loop pedal making a full band sound of bass lines, beats and multi vocals, which he then laces with melodies on keys and guitar. His own band collective The Living Revolution is an array of brilliant musicians and vocalists who often collaborate to bring Samuels music to life.
